Warren County Relatives As Parents Program
Our Mission Statement: The Mission and Vision of the Warren County Relatives As Parents Program (RAPP) is to be recognized in the community as the leading resource providing support and advocacy for grandparents and relatives raising children.
Programs Purpose: Our purpose is to provide empowerment to caregivers facing a variety of problems such as legal, financial, emotional needs or physical health, and their right to social integration, in their efforts to raise a grandchild, niece or nephew.
The Relatives As Parents Program (RAPP) is offering the following services free of charge to help combat concerns and everyone is encourage to come and see our program or make helpful contributions!
Support groups where members can share fellowship, friendship and experiences with one another so they can know they are not alone in this struggle to find the other side of the rainbow and a piece of mind.
Information and Referral to other community resources that they might have not known was available to help provide support and benefits for everyday demanding issues.
Workshops and educational seminars such as legal
issues with information provided by local attorneys. Child Enforcement Agency,
Department of Human Services, Children Services
and etc.
Parenting information such as parenting classes or classes on stress management. Along with any other subjects that are of interest to the members, so that we can identify with the growing trend of Relatives Raising Relatives.
Social and recreational activities that is available at the McMinnville Warren County Senior Center and other local organizations.
Childcare that engages children of all ages in activities designed to help them feel good about themselves. The children are taught how to deal with the ever-changing society, self-esteem and boost moral confidence, while the caregivers are having their meeting.
Each caregiver is provided with one-on-one guidance
to help them with their needs and then monthly group meetings are conducted
for them to gain insight into the community and the
facilitator helps solve their problems or their frustrations.
Also being able to talk to a trained facilitator who is a resource to all the individual members, whether it is just to talk or in need of some other information.

Here at the Relatives As Parents Program we know that it is wonderful to be a parent... But it is not so wonderful if you have to do it all alone for the second time.
